July 13, 2023

CHICAGO –

Statera Capital has been recognized again in the Chambers & Partners annual guide to the top U.S. litigation funders.  In addition, Co-Founders and Managing Directors Andy Woltman and Chip Hodgkins were ranked as leading individuals in the U.S. litigation finance industry.

It is Statera’s second straight year on the Chambers list of top U.S. litigation funders.  It is one of only 16 funders to receive this recognition.  Statera moved up to Band 3 in the 2023 rankings and is the youngest funder recognized at that level.  Statera is also one of only four U.S. litigation funders with multiple team members ranked individually.  These accolades are a testament to Statera’s unique focus and flexibility, outstanding team, and commitment to client service, all of which are reflected in feedback that Chambers received about Statera.

Statera received praise for offering creative funding arrangements to clients and for its flexibility on financing size and structures.  Clients also noted Statera’s best-in-class client service, which guides every facet of Statera’s process and how it interacts with clients and lawyers.

One client commented: “Statera has really been a pleasure to work with. It has been a streamlined process, which is very helpful. They are nimble and they move quickly in making decisions, which is important in litigation.”

According to another client: “The process for obtaining the funding was seamless. They took a genuine interest in the case and tried to make the funding process smooth.”

Andy and Chip were both recognized by Chambers as leading individuals in the U.S. litigation finance industry.  Andy and Chip are two of only 14 individuals to receive this recognition from Chambers.

One client observed that Andy “is outstanding. He can quickly digest the intricacies of a case and provide a rational and spot-on evaluation.”

According to another client: “Chip is very good at analyzing numbers and creating a budget and agreement that is fair to Statera, outside counsel and, most importantly, the client.”

Chambers Research is conducted by 200 Research Analysts, across 200 jurisdictions and provides nearly 6,000 rankings tables. Annually they collect hundreds of thousands of responses from clients, the majority via in-depth interviews.
